The military was complaining the mirrors were not easy to use and they could not see well. After driving this rig I could see what the problem was. Man do you feel confined in this vehicle with all the bullet and bomb proof work done. Basically the mirrors mounted too low. I raised the left side up 5 inches and the right side up 2 1/2 inches. Here is the before picture.

And now the after picture with the mirror up 5 inches.

We eliminated the lower angled bracket mounting point. Using the stock L bracket and a couple shims locate the bottom mount where the top bolt was. Using the Autofab bracket bolt one end to the upper armor plate mounting bolt, adjust as necessary and attach the upper angle bracket to it. Tighten into place and adjust mirror.

Now take a look at the right side as originally equipped.

By taking the upper angle bracket , reversing it and placing it on the bottom mount It raised the mirror frame about      2 1/2 inches. Then take the lower angle bracket and use on the Autofab special top mount.  These modifications will place the original mirrors in a better location for the driver.
