Hummer, up armored Humvee

Front Bumper for the fully  armored Humvee used by the US military

Totally fabricated from heavy plate steel Autofab heavy duty front bumper bolts to the existing Stock front for ease of installation. It is designed for extreme use on this military up armored Humvee. The skid plate is a separate piece of heavy plate steel that bolts to the bumper and the stock cross member a arm support below.

Front mounting holes for original swing shackles used by the rigging crew.

Autofab bumper is 8" thick in the middle structure and 32 inches wide. The modular design incorporates high strength in a simple design tapering to 4 inches thick at the outer end.

The main foundation of this bumper measures 8 inches by 32 inches wide and 8 inches deep. It is formed to fit around the stock channel front lower guard. It slopes on an angle down to form the mounting of the skid plate. Holes are provided in the top for 2 offroad lights.

Much work went into the design of this front bumper to achieve a lighter weight , stronger crash bumper. It also provides a durable foundation for the skid plate that ties the bumper and the a arm cross member together. The large holes provide access to the mounting bolts. The front of the bumper is double layered thick "note the 3 plug welds near the top. The 4 holes in front are for the swinging lift eye mounting. The side extensions are completely boxed in for high strength. The tabs welded in front are for mounting wire mesh protection for lights if used. Note the face of the mounting plate. It captures the layout of the stock front mounting plate in most areas. The actual mounting bolts we used are 3 outer on each side. If you choose you can add hardware through any of the middle holes.
