Rangers and Offroad

Through the years Ranger Trucks have continually proven themselves in off road competition. Of all the mini-trucks, Rangers with the Ford Twin I Beam or Twin Traction Beam front suspension, have the most available wheel travel by design. In all the race classes requiring the use of stock factory suspension Rangers have usually come out on top ! It's no wonder because most A arm mini trucks have only 6-7 inches of available travel unless they are highly modified with longer custom A-arms and expensive ball joints. Rangers with the stock Radius arms can generate 12" of travel and with longer arms go 16" of travel. Dollar for Dollar Rangers are cheaper to build and hold up better offroad.

Here is a rare photo of the Herzog Ranger built by Ted Kendall. He is the one looking at us over the hood. This photo shows the Autofab RH-104 hood, RF-106 bulged racing fenders and BS-202 bulged bedsides. Note the Autofab Hood Pin Kits. Extremely competitive totally awesome truck.

Rough Rider Racing Team. During the times of it's glory Rough Riders gained a reputation " The Best Never Rest " and I know why ! These guys that go out and win races work their ass of to do it ! The dedication required and stamina to carry it through are unequaled in motorsport racing. I was proud to be able to contribute my skills in the looks of the fenders and bedsides.  I realized a great deal of personal satisfaction and am grateful to have had the opportunity.

Nice view of a model 35 wheel travel kit and the basics of our front bumper kit before the skid plate is installed. The complete bumper skid plate is a one piece assembly that unbolts from the frame utilizing our unique frame horn mounting kits. If you know how to weld the kit sells for $650 with skid plate. Below is a picture taken during design assembly construction of our model 44 into a Ranger kit.

Ranger Off Road Motor Mounts.

These are a must for any serious off road Ranger. The stock motor mounts will not hold up and you will have problems and repair work later if you do not replace them now. Our off road competition motor mounts are fabricated to fit your frame and to your engine. They utilize a ureathane bushing assembly which insulates the motor from metal on metal harsh contact. It keeps the motor in place like solid motor mounts but offer a small degree of cushion. This feature saves wear and tear on your block , threads. and frame. Always replace the transmission mount with the RTM100 Autofab transmission mount at the same time. It is not wise to let the transmission move around while the engine mounts are trying to hold it in place. It can break our motor mounts.
