This kit addresses EVERY problem that occurs when lifting an early Ford 2WD truck. When correctly installed your Ford Truck will drive better than new! Kit consists of the following:

  • Twin I Beams aligned for 5" lift. This is the key to it all . First we straighten the beam to original form , then major bending work etc , to compensate for the lift, in camber and castor alignment both. This procedure is extremely important for obvious reasons.
  • Extended Radius Arms and special pivot brackets put the pivot bushings on a 0 bind neutral position. Longer radius arms reduce castor change improving toe-change and allow for more wheel travel.
  • The high strength Grade 8 Hardware to properly mount the radius arm pivot brackets may be a bit over kill but it is a small price to pay for peace of mind , Right ?
  • A new set of radius arm pivot bushings complete with replacement retaining washers. This is really nice when you don't have to clean up those old rusty parts !
  • Brand new drag-link converted to a fully adjustable link that will allow your alignment shop to properly adjust the steering gear center.
  • Lift coils designed to give a boost in ride height and feel comfortable enough for street use.

The stock steering on the early Ford 65-79 2WD trucks will only allow toe in adjustments on the drivers side wheel. All late model trucks allow toe in adjustments on both wheels. This allows the alignment shop to get your truck to track straight down the road and be in perfect steering gear center. This is an important because your steering gear is preloaded in the center of its crown which is  also the center of it's lock to lock travel. This is the perfect position to be in while going straight down the road. Autofab's adjustable drag-link is an important feature to the success of our 16" front wheel travel kit! It is also a must for the basic stock Ford 2WD Truck! What do you think? Let me know.
